Help me support GIVIT this festive season
I'm fundraising to help GIVIT this Christmas to continue to meet the real need of thousands of vulnerable Australians. Since 2009, GIVIT has coordinated the donation of over 8 million items to Australians in need via their network of over 4,800 charities!
When money is donated to purchase an item for someone in need, GIVIT spends 100% of the funds on the required items. This means they need generous people - like us - to raise funds to cover the costs involved with assisting thousands of Australians in need.
By donating to my fundraiser to Support GIVIT this festive season, we’ll be ensuring Australia’s most vulnerable people continue to get exactly what they need, when they need it.

Friday 20th Dec Hi my name is Barb and my gran was my world ( or a huge part of it ) she loved Christmas and she loved to spoil her family at Christmas ( we have a huge huge family ) she made sure all of her grand children ( and then the great grand children and the great great grandchildren ) received gifts not only at Christmas but at birthdays ( her dining room table always had at least ten gifts on it wrapped and ready to give out at times .My gran was a war widow and cared for grampy ( grandpa )
For many years until he passed just before or not long before their 50wedding anniversary .
It’s grand first heavenly Christmas after passing away aged 99 and 3 months , I think she would love that I’m doing this in her memory .
She used to spend her money on all of us but she. I asked her what I could get her ( every time I wanted to give her a gift !) she would say snd I quote “ you can ill afford a gift for me “ I’d say of course I can afford a gift for you gran and every time she says that phrase I would tell her to smile and say thank you ! I made a lot of the birthday and Christmas cards yo give my gran and she asked me every time if I made her card . Sometimes I wasn’t up to making it as I gave her an card someone else made and I would buy a card if someone and I’d have to say no gran a friend made that ( which they did !)
Anyway if you can open your hearts ant Christina’s even though it’s so expensive to live right now ! And at this crazy and busy time of year please help make one of my Christmas widhes come true . All want for Christmas is to hear my grans voice again , luckily our family have a recording of her reciting a poem that our gran remembered from when she was in primary school !
