Let's give back -food and essentials for those impacted from the floods in Cairns

Help me support people impacted by the floods in Far North Queensland

I’m fundraising to help people impacted by recent flooding in Far North Queensland. Communities have been devastated and hundreds of people have been displaced and left with nothing. Recovery is going to take a long time.

Donations will go to GIVIT’s Far North Queensland Flooding appeal, and will be used to purchase essential items and services for those affected. 100% of publicly donated money received by GIVIT for the Far North Queensland Flooding appeal is used to buy exactly what’s needed, when it’s needed. Where possible, GIVIT buys locally to support the economic recovery of impacted regions.

GIVIT is working with the Queensland State Government, as well as support organisations, charities, outreach teams and community groups to identify exactly what’s needed to help people recover.

The council has done a wonderful job in helping clear water damaged items from homes impacted by the floods. It was heart breaking to see the loss our community experienced. Some homes lost their entire contents. The difference with GIVIT is that the money spent goes directly to the people in need. Thank you to my wonderful supporters who have donated, your generosity is appreciated. ❤️
