Workplace Giving for Employers

A workplace giving program is a great way to breathe life into your organisational culture and values and support Aussies in need.

A simple and effective way for employees to donate directly from their pay

Businesses that implement workplace giving programs find them an ideal corporate social responsibility channel and easy to set up and manage through their regular payroll system or a workplace giving platform.

You can incentivise your employees to donate by matching their donations. This helps to communicate your commitment to helping GIVIT to provide 10 million items and services to Australians in need by 2025.

What are the benefits of workplace giving?

Most participating employers report that their workplace giving program achieves high levels of employee engagement. It can also:

- Allow employers to actively engage with their employees and make positive community contributions.
- Enhance business’ charitable giving, with little effort or cost to you.

Matched Giving

Did you know that matched giving is a great way to incentivise your employees and increase your company's fundraising efforts? You can choose to match your employees’ donations dollar-for-dollar, so that your company’s contributions can have double the impact for Aussies in need.

How to set up workplace giving

Bank transfer

  • You can set up your workplace giving program internally by scheduling a regular bank transfer to GIVIT that coincides with your pay cycle.
  • Paying via bank transfer means that GIVIT receives 100% of the donation value, and you can utilise your current HR or payroll platform.
  • Please contact corporate@givit.org.au for bank account information and a unique reference number to use when making the donation to ensure we know it's from you.

Workplace Giving Platform

  • Using an existing built-for-purpose platform provides an accessible and easy set up process for your payroll team and staff.
  • Staff are able to create accounts, choose a charity and donation amount, and manage their contributions themselves.
  • There are several platforms you can use, including Benevity, Catalyser and Good2Give.
